Your mission
To perform preventive maintenance service, preventive maintenance inspections, safety checks, and minor corrective actions on equipment at external or Hiab locations in line with Manager’s instructions. Responsible for contributing to productive customer relationships, as well as following Best Practices in all administrative and technical activities.
Key responsibilities
- Complete routine preventative maintenance of equipment, such as Forklifts, Knuckle Boom Cranes, Loaders, Liftgates, Hooklifts, Skiploaders & Hoists, following provided PM checklists and test equipment following repair ensuring safe and proper functionality
- Complete basic repairs of equipment under the supervision of Service Technician or Service Team Lead
- Submit required information to generate repair estimates for customers based on results of equipment inspection
- Keep adequate records and maintain documentation in line with agreed standards
- Staying up to date with technical developments as shown in internal service bulletins and attend technical courses when instructed by
- District Service Manager applicable to equipment
- Follow applicable safety rules, agreed working practices and environmental requirements
- Conduct self at all times in a way that promotes a positive image of the Hiab brand and follow rules of the Quality System
What we are looking for
- Ability to obtain and maintain a 1-year DOT Medical Card is required for this position
- Valid Driver’s License is required
- No more than one moving violation in the last year, or two violations within a two year time frame. All violations will be reviewed
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Basic mechanical and hydraulics knowledge
- Appropriate diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
