Business Line Manager

Be responsible for the Business Line P&L within the Customer Service Center by growing the existing markets and segments as well as entering and developing new markets and segments in close collaboration with the respective Division.
This is a remote position for UK.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Commercial:
- Commercial ‘ownership’ of the E2E Gross Margin for the Business Line
- Support the RtM strategy and ensure the correct profile for the business line
- Develop and execute a detailed and executable short and long term strategy
- Understand the competition and agree on how to win/defend market share
- Responsible for the business development of the respective Business Line
- Lead the sales workforce dedicated to the Business Line
- ‘White Spot’ analysis to determine new opportunities
- Develop local actions to drive order intake
- Responsible for all Value Selling initiatives
- Accountable to develop and execute the commercial and sales excellence process
- Spend time with end users and customers to gather product insights for both technical and commercial aspects
Technical:
- Ensure that Business Line products are developed with local requirements in mind
- Collaborate with relevant local stakeholders (e.g. bodybuilders, customers)
- Strong collaboration with division product management
- Collect local feedback and provide it to division product management
- Ensuring product documentation is available in local language
- Supporting employee, dealer and customer training facilitation
- Understanding of all competitors within the CSC, including strengths, weakness and strategic plans
- Determine solutions for new segments
- Determine solutions for sustainability requirements and strategy
- Lead the ‘product technical expert’ for the assigned Business Line
Other Responsibilities:
- Ensure Customer Satisfaction
- Lead the sales representatives
- Accountable for customer and dealer master data
- Ensure effective and efficient stakeholder management especially in collaboration with the respective division
- Responsible for budgeting
- Giving relevant strategic inputs by providing market insight and relevant data analytics
- Ensuring the agreed strategy action plans are executed locally.
What you’ll need to succeed
Education:
- Suitable educational background - commercial, mechanical engineer, production engineer or administrative subjects (Bachelor/Academic level)
Experience:
- A solid track record of managing sales and driving sales growth
- Significant experience in relevant business/product experience (e.g., truck industry or load handling equipment) related to sales
Competencies:
- Ability to work in an international business environment/in a matrix organization
- Proven ability to drive and develop equipment business sales and profitability
- Proven ability to develop and manage a team of sales representatives
- Results and achievement driven and eager to create long term relationships
- High integrity and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong business mindset with financial skills
- Relevant product knowledge
- Fluent in English is a must, all communication with customers and with Divisions is in English.
