Business Process Analyst

Purpose of the position

 

The Business Process Analyst plays a key role in identifying opportunities for process optimisation and automation across the organisation. This role bridges business and technology by analysing, designing, and documenting business processes, ensuring that requirements are well defined for RPA and other digital transformation initiatives. The analyst also manages and maintains the organisation’s process documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and accessibility for stakeholders.

 

Main tasks and responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for process documentation management - create, update and audit process documentation (work instructions and flowcharts, VSM)
  • Analyse, document, and model business processes using BPMN and other methodologies.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardisation, and automation (including RPA).
  • Prepare high-quality process documentation, business requirements, and solution design for automation projects.
  • Manage and maintain process documentation, ensuring processes are up to date, consistent, and aligned with business needs.
  • Collaborate with RPA developers and IT teams to ensure smooth delivery of automation solutions.
  • Identify and validate relevant data sources, including databases and SAP, to support automation and reporting.
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring clarity and alignment of requirements.
  • Support the implementation of new processes and monitor performance to ensure expected benefits are achieved.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and best practices within the organisation. 

 

What you’ll need to succeed

 

Education:

Relevant and completed education in process development/ engineering/ quality

 

Experience:

  • Previous experience as process expert, consultant role or similar
  • Successfully tracked development and implementation of the processes
  • min. 5 years experience
  • Familiar with ERP systems 

 

Competencies:

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Project management and change management basics,
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach.
  • Proficiency in BPMN and process mapping tools.
  • Experience with SAP (navigation, data structures, process knowledge).
  • Understanding of RPA technologies and process automation principles.
  • Ability to gather, analyse, and document business and technical requirements.
  • Experience in managing process documentation repositories (governance, version control, consistency).
  • Familiarity with databases, data structures, and data analysis techniques.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across different levels of the organisation.
  • Strong command of English (written and spoken).

  • Data Analytics tools (ie. BigQuery, Looker Studio)
  • MS Office, Google platforms
  • Process documentation related tools (ie. Visio, other similar)
  • Salesforce (optional) 

 

Language skills:

  • English requirement: advanced
