Junior Parts Purchaser

Your mission

Are you a student or recent graduate looking to gain professional experience this summer? We are looking for an Intern to join our team in Gdańsk for a 3-month placement.

The goal of this internship is to provide vital support to our Spare Parts Purchasing Teams with their daily administrative and operational tasks. You will be the "bridge" between Hiab and our suppliers, ensuring that the right parts arrive at the right time to keep our customers moving.

Duration: 3 Months (Ideally mid-June to mid-September)
Location: Hiab Office in Gdańsk (On-site, Monday–Friday)

Key responsibilities

• Spare parts procurement according to planning parameters (purchasing of material and follow-up on confirmed dates and supplier’s ability to deliver - OTIF).
• Proactive identification of the risk of deviations in deliveries and taking corrective and preventive actions.
• Driving supplier performance management to improve cooperation / KPIs—specifically lead time and confirmation accuracy.
• Conducting meetings with suppliers (under supervision) in order to develop cooperation, relationships and achieve result goals.  
• Cooperation with the Sourcing department to ensure smooth cooperation with suppliers and to achieve the goal of availability of the right material for customers.  
• Cooperation with Planners to ensure a clear and transparent material management planning process.  
• Keeping Customer Service informed on expected delivery dates for parts with backorders.  
• Reviewing supplier invoices and handling supplier claims.
• Support in purchasing master data management.
• Performing other tasks associated with the role, as assigned by the line manager.

What we are looking for

• You are ready for a 3-month contract, ideally from mid-June to mid-September, working full-time from our Gdańsk office.
• You have very good English skills, as you will use it every day for international communication.
• You enjoy working with data, reading reports, and have an eye for detail.
• Currently studying or recently graduated in Logistics, Supply Chain, Economics or a related field.
• You are structured, reliable and able to manage tasks independently.
