Spare Parts Technical Support Engineer

Your mission

 

As a Spare Parts Technical Support Engineer, you will be the heart of our technical operations and the primary point of contact for all spare parts enquiries. Your mission is to deliver world-class customer support by acting as a trusted advisor to our global service network.

Key responsibilities

 

  • Provide high-level guidance to our service network in identifying the correct spare parts and retrofit kits to ensure maximum machine uptime and customer satisfaction.
  • Efficiently handle customer requests via JIRA, utilizing a wide range of professional tools including SAP ERP, E-Commerce platforms, Windchill, PDM Link, and C-Service.
  • Drive the responsiveness of our support team and secure the functionality and flow of Hiab products and parts globally.
  • Collaborate with Parts Catalogue teams (C-Service) to ensure our parts assortment is perfectly aligned with technical documentation.
  • Act as a key technical partner for R&D, Sourcing, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and Parts Catalogue teams.
  • Analyze case statistics to propose and implement process improvements aimed at reducing ticket volume and optimizing team workflows.
  • Support the service team by preparing and managing service and circular letters from Product Support to keep the network informed.

What we are looking for

 

  • A completed degree in Electrical, Hydraulic and/or Mechanical Engineering (or a relevant technical field).
  • Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings with high accuracy (Must-have).
  • Very good command of English (written and spoken), essential for effective daily communication with both internal and external stakeholders across our global network.
  • Solid experience in a technical or commercial role within a service environment; previous experience in a similar support position will be considered a strong asset.
  • A genuine interest in engineering and the latest technological developments.
  • A strong focus on delivering excellent support and building positive relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with peers and employees at all levels of the organization.
  • A self-motivated "self-starter" with an entrepreneurial personality and the ability to drive and execute change.
