Business Controller, Group Business Control - Fixed-term contract

HIAB is seeking a skilled and proactive Business Controller, Group Business Control to drive and enhance group management reporting, coordinate sustainability reporting, and support financial performance management. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring strong financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes, helping to shape strategic decision-making.

This position offers a fixed-term contract until August 2026. Location: Helsinki, Finland.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Drives implementation of group level financial planning, forecasting and reporting processes in the Business Control organisation
• Prepares monthly management reporting packages and analyses monthly performance, interprets results and prepares commentary
• Supports Division and group function controlling in management reporting and other initiatives
• Coordinates and develops group wide financial sustainability reporting
• Participates in BI reporting development
• Manages group management reporting structures
• Participates in various development projects and analysis as required, e.g. M&A and integration, policy development, accounting/reporting process development.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Master’s level degree in business, economics or other relevant field of study
• 5+ years of relevant relevant experience in business controlling or financial reporting and analysis roles
• Proven track record on developing financial reporting processes and building strong relationships with stakeholders in business operations
• Strong analytical capabilities
• Good influencing, presentation and networking skills
• Aspiration for development
• Savvy with IT tools (Google / MSOffice / SAP / HFM applications)
• Ability to drive and execute/implement change with good leadership and change management skills
• Fluent English, both written and verbal
