Global Process Owner, Master Data Management

Purpose of the position

We are looking for a GPO – Master Data Management (MDM). The position leads and standardizes global master data practices by developing and enforcing consistent frameworks, operating models, and governance structures. It ensures data accuracy, compliance, and alignment across systems, regions, and business units through cross-functional collaboration and harmonization efforts.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Process Design and Performance

• Globally responsible for specific end-to-end (e2e) process design and performance, raising standards,leading consistent implementation across divisions and CSCs, and ensuring sustained follow-through of the process.

Process Documentation

• Define and document the global master data process, including process maps, procedures, and work instructions.
• Ensure the process documentation is up-to-date and accessible to all relevant stakeholders

Risk Management and Control responsibility

• Identify and assess risks associated with the master data process.
• Design and implement controls to mitigate identified risks.
• Monitor the effectiveness of controls and ensure compliance with relevant internal policies

Collaboration with Information Management

• Solutions Development: Guide development of IM solutions to align with business needs to maximize value.
• Strategic Alignment: Define the IM vision, prioritize initiatives, co-develop roadmaps, and align solutions to optimize core business processes.
• Requirements and Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to define needs, convert business requirements into technical specifications, and ensure the solution is a user-friendly design.
• Development and Implementation: Collaborate with IT to ensure solutions meet specifications and timelines, monitor progress, and train and support users to promote adoption.
• Governance and Improvement: Establish governance, track performance, and lead continuous improvements.
• Ownership and Accountability: Own solution success (design, implementation and maintenance) and champion innovation.
• Collaboration with IM: Act as a liaison, share responsibilities, and ensure clear communication.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or business-related field
• 5-10 years in leading master data teams and operations
• Strong understanding of data governance principles
• Experience in delivering cross-functional process improvement through Lean Six Sigma approaches. Lean Six Sigma green belt or black belt qualification
• Strong analytical skills
• Exceptional collaboration and communication skills for engaging stakeholders.
