Senior Controller

HIAB is seeking a group accounting professional to join the Hiab Group Reporting team as  Senior Controller. The Group Reporting team is part of the Group controlling organization and responsible for Group’s consolidated monthly, interim and annual closings and external financial reporting.

The position will be based in Hiab’s head office in Helsinki, Finland with a hybrid working model. You will report to the Director, Group Reporting. 

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Coordinate and participate in developing and executing internal and external financial reporting.
• Take part in Hiab's monthly, interim and annual closing controlling and reporting tasks, including continuous development of processes and tools (HFM and Workiva). These tasks include various data controlling tasks, group eliminations and preparation of certain interim and annual report notes.
• Handle Hiab’s monthly elimination entries and supports HIab finance organization and management in reporting related topics.
• Oversee and execute management fee calculations.
• Participate in arranging Group’s Accounting Standards and other financial reporting training, provide advisory to finance persons and update group level reporting instructions to ensure accurate and transparent reporting from subsidiaries to the Group.
• Ensuring the health and safety of oneself and other team members.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Master’s degree in accounting/finance
• 7-10 years of relevant experience
• Excellent knowledge of consolidation and group reporting principles
• Strong IFRS reporting and accounting knowledge
• Good HFM skills
• Good planning, organizing, and communication skills
• Fluent in Finnish and English
• Good knowledge of Workiva is an advantage
