Trainee, Installation Product Management and R&D

Your mission

Are you ready to help shape the future of load handling? Hiab is looking for an energetic and analytical Summer Trainee to join our Installation Product Management and R&D department.

In this role, you will sit at the intersection of engineering and commerce, working on the critical phase where Hiab load handling equipment meets the commercial vehicle. You will collaborate with a global team of experts to ensure our solutions are easy to buy, install, and use.

This position is based in Helsinki, Finland.

Key responsibilities

• Pricing Configurator Management: Assist in managing the assortment, defining rule settings, and ensuring market visibility within our digital sales tools. Spreadsheet management skills required
• Installation Development Support: Provide hands-on support for our ongoing installation development programs
• Content Creation: Draft and refine marketing content and update the Installations web page to reflect our latest innovations
• Technical Documentation: Assist in updating product and solution manuals to ensure high-quality guidance for our global partners
• Team Contribution: Actively contribute to a positive team spirit and bring your fresh perspective to make Hiab installations better, safer, and more efficient
• Ad-hoc Projects: Support the R&D and Product Management teams with other varied tasks based on current business needs. For instance, experience with 3D CAD software can extend possible work tasks.

What we are looking for

• We are looking for a proactive individual who is nearing the end of their studies (3rd year+ or Master's stage) and is eager to apply theory to practice.
• Preferably pursuing a degree in Engineering (Technical, Mechanical or Applied) or Commercial/Business studies
• A strong "can-do" attitude and a proactive approach to solving problems. You aren’t afraid to ask questions or take the lead on a task
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary, international team
• Relevant former experience is considered as an advantage, but is not a requirement in the position
• Team working language is English.
