Project Manager, Technology & Controls

Your mission

We are seeking a results-driven Project Manager, Technology & Controls, part of Lifting Solutions R&D, to oversee the direction, execution, and completion of our key strategic technical projects (Technology Development, New Product Development, Product Lifetime Care).

You will take full ownership of the project lifecycle, ensuring all initiatives align with company goals, budgets, and processes. This role requires a collaborative leader who can efficiently mobilize internal teams, manage external consultants, and secure the resources necessary to bring high-impact projects.

The position will be based in Hudiksvall, Sweden.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of complex technology and controls projects in accordance with the Hiab project model
• Define project scope, establish target metrics, and continuously monitor progress to ensure successful delivery
• Manage project budgets, resources, and cross-functional teams to achieve strategic goals on time and within cost parameters
• Provide transparent status reporting and key performance insights to executive management and key stakeholders
• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate project risks to ensure seamless execution and quality compliance
• Maintain thorough project documentation, ensuring clarity, traceability, and knowledge sharing
• Facilitate effective communication across internal R&D teams, external consultants, and third-party partners.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field with formal qualification in Project Management
• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated success managing complex, multidisciplinary engineering and R&D projects
• Strong understanding of hardware/software (HW/SW) development lifecycles and modern PM methodologies and tools
• Proven experience with risk management and sourcing activities to drive operational efficiency
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the confidence to interact effectively with executive-level stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams
• Highly organized and target-oriented with strong analytical, conflict resolution, and time-management capabilities
• Fluent verbal and written English language. Swedish will be considered an advantage.
