R&D Engineer, Electrification

Purpose of the position
Together with the team develop innovative electrical crane solutions, with the focus on finding practical solutions that will perform (customer value, truck/crane environment etc), and are easy to manufacture and assemble. We believe you are a hands-on engineer that can build and test a full electrical system (Battery, inverters, sensors, motors…) and integration to our control system. This role will work dedicated to the electrification team and be a core part of the electrification projects as a team member (be part of kanban, scrum, group meetings, group offsite etc). Belongs to the electrification team’s organization, but works in the laboratory and utilizes lab resources in a good way.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Work closely in the electrification team to find practical solutions both when it comes to testing and finding good product solutions to cranes
- Handle high voltage system (HW and FW), assembly and test of battery
- Secure Product (Crane) knowledge in the projects both when it comes to use/drive a crane and knowhow around technical solutions
- Execute the plans, tests and verifications for electrified cranes
- Lead the work with setting up test strategies for the different phases (when to test what, good test coverage, how to test, what to measure etc.)
- Connect and troubleshooting SW, FW, CAN-communication
- Plan, order, develop and build test and measurement systems and full crane tests
- Use the laboratory test equipment and build up new for its purpose
- Ensure that we use the rest of the lab knowledge, test facility, test system in a good way
- Document and share results, make it understandable, searchable, reusable.
What you’ll need to succeed
Education:
- Bachelor Engineering or higher experience
Working experience:
- Work with high voltage installation
- Good electrical experience from battery, electrical inverters, motors etc
- Highly experience from CAN
- Highly experience assembly, building machines/products
Competence and skills:
- Prototype manufacturing and testing
- Test system programming and development
- Crane application knowledge
- CAN-bus programming
Language skills:
- English (mandatory)
- Swedish (optional, admirable)
License/Certificate (in advance):
- Truck driving license, fork lift certs
- Overhead crane/loader crane certs
Place of Work and travels:
- Place of work: Hudiksvall
- Visits to other sites, upon project needs
- Estimated travel days: 2 times every month.
