Senior Manager SC Operations EMEA

Purpose of the position
As Senior Manager SC Operations EMEA you will hold integrated accountability for driving operational excellence across the EMEA parts supply chain. This role is critical to ensuring high-performing order fulfillment, logistics reliability, and cost efficiency while delivering exceptional customer service.
You will lead the international Parts Order & Logistics team and assume full budgetary and performance ownership of the Metz Global Distribution Center (GDC), including the strategic management of a key 3PL partnership. Acting as both a people leader and operational strategist, you will optimize processes, strengthen global alignment, and continuously improve service levels to support business growth and customer satisfaction.
The position can be located in Meppel (the Netherlands) or Helsinki (Finland).
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Customer Service: Directly manage the PO&L team and Logistics Specialist to ensure high proficiency across parts sales order management, emergency unit-down delivery processes, and query resolution covering order-to-delivery, claims, and returns. Maintain rigorous logistics service standards through strict process adherence, accurate documentation, and effective case management tool utilization, while ensuring operational continuity during critical periods.
- Operational Excellence & Performance: Spearhead Operational Excellence initiatives to ensure the continuous achievement of critical KPIs, including On-Time-In-Full (OTIF), Order Fulfillment Lead Time, and supply chain costreduction targets. Drive strategic projects and continuous improvement activities to consistently meet annual efficiency and savings goals.
- 3PL Contract Management: Oversee the strategic 3PL contract for GDC operations with full accountability for the operational budget. Actively monitor performance against agreed KPIs and immediately address operational deviations to ensure strict service level compliance and financial control.
- Carrier Performance: Partner with Global Transportation to drive carrier performance regarding cost and reliability.
- Lead Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs) to analyze transactional data and KPIs, providing strategic oversight and defining remedial actions to optimize the transportation network
- Talent Development & Continuous Improvement: Champion a high-performance culture focused on team quality, productivity, and motivation. Drive talent development through regular coaching, constructive feedback, and the active management of Personal Development Plans (PDP) to foster professional growth within the team.
- Global Alignment: Work collaboratively with the manager and team at the American Regional Distribution Center to ensure maximum global efficiency in processes and policies. Maintain seamless daily operational interactions, covering both communication channels and the operational replenishment of parts between the sites.

Budget and Performance Control: Own the GDC operational budgets and monitor performance against defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and financial targets. Oversee all aspects of customer service compliance, including NPS, order processing speed, and transit times, while partnering with the 3PL to manage claims and returns for maximum inventory accuracy. Responsibilities include analyzing daily reports and executing monthly performance reviews to identify root causes and correct deviations.
What you’ll need to succeed
Required Education & Certifications:
- Academic degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field. PMP (Project Management Professional) & Lean Six-Sigma certification is highly valued
Professional Experience:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar operational management role, ideally with direct experience managing a 3PL distribution operation.
- Experience in OEM spare parts distribution within a global organization is a strong asset.
- Fluent English required
Core Competencies & Technical Skills:
- Demonstrated strong leadership and team-building skills
- Operational expertise with WMS and TMS systems is essential; SAP experience is a plus
- Highly analytical with advanced expertise in spreadsheet and business intelligence platforms
- Proven project management abilities.
