Your mission
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will take ownership of the manufacturing engineering strategy, driving the "factory of the future" vision by implementing best-in-class manufacturing techniques. A key part of this role involves managing projects for the installation of new production equipment and tools and implementing engineering changes. Furthermore, you will oversee the installation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of all production methods, with a strict adherence to all Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements. Your support will also extend to plant maintenance and active participation in new product development and engineering change initiatives to ensure projects are executed on time and within cost.
This position is based in Minerbio, Italy.
Key responsibilities

Health, Safety, and Quality Assurance: Accountable for all safety incidents, ensuring lost time incidents are reported/investigated, risk assessments are maintained, and upholding quality standards within the manufacturing engineering department

ERP Master Data and Documentation Ownership: Own all material item masters within ERP and be responsible for the creation and updating of ERP product master data (including BOM and product routings), cycle times, SOPs and detailed work instructions

Process Design and Factory Layout: Responsible for the design of production tools and cells, line layout, and optimizing the value stream and factory layout to maximize efficiencies and safe working areas

New Product Introduction (NPI) Interface: Act as the main conduit between the Value streams and R&D functions to facilitate assembly process improvements, including New Project Development, and liaise with the team to ensure new products are transferred into manufacturing on time and on cost

Material and Inventory Policy: Work with Value Stream Managers and Logistics to ensure the correct material replenishment method is defined and adheres to PSC inventory policy

Budget and Governance: Prepare and create Capital expenditure requests in line with the budget and manage the manufacturing engineering governance model

Continuous Improvement and Lean Implementation: Promote and develop a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. Hold full ownership and development of the End-to-End (E2E) value stream maps

Team and Skills Development: Act as a functional expert to support Value Streams with Manufacturing Engineer skills/competences development, and support the Manufacturing Engineering team's performance management and development.
What we are looking for

Master Degree, preferably Mechanical Eng., Mechatronic Eng., Electronic Eng.

At least 7 years’ experience in manufacturing engineering, including knowledge of electronics and hydraulic systems

In depth knowledge and experience of FMEA, APQP, PPAP and Lean Manufacturing techniques

Experience with New Product Introduction, reworking design changes and upgrades through to production

Technical knowledge of volume manufacturing engineering practices including Factory 4.0

Knowledge of techniques and tools for process improvement. Lean Six Sigma Green or Black belt would be considered a plus

Working knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD and ERP systems. PLC programming would be considered a plus

Problem solving capability and strong critical thinking and decision making skills

Ability to work in a multi-functional team, high paced and multi-task environment.
