Your mission

 

 At HIAB, we are looking for a proactive leader to take full responsibility for our site and workshop operations. The role ensures a safe working environment and that all activities are supported by clear, well-implemented processes that drive efficiency and high performance. Success will be measured by operational volume, profitability, cost control, team engagement, and customer satisfaction.


We are seeking a commercially minded professional who will actively develop the business by attracting new customers and strengthening our workshop’s market position. If you combine strong operational leadership with a growth mindset, we would be glad to hear from you.

 

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Oversee and manage the Service teams within the workshop and liaise with the CSC central teams and management to deliver an efficient, effective and profitable operation
  • Work in conjunction with the overall CSC HIAB strategy and contribute to continuous improvements within this area of operation
  • Develop people and teams as per Hiab’s highest technical competence
  • Provide technical support where needed
  • Overall responsibility for stock holding in house
  • Support with Business growth
  • Refer sales leads, customer feedback, and information on competitor activity to appropriate contacts within the organization
  • Measurement and ongoing support of business development activities
  • Evaluate customer satisfaction in a structured manner, to ensure a process of continuous improvement. Obtain regular feedback on market development, trends and demand patterns
  • To co-operate closely with other business units to collaborate and share ideas
  • Handle prices and quotes in line with established guidelines
  • Manage costs, times, margins and overall profitability
  • Take ownership of the workshop P&L and put in place processes and initiatives to maximize financial performance
  • Develop and practice a 5s safety culture
  • Prepared to travel within and outside the country
  • Carry out assigned tasks and duties in a safe manner, in accordance with instructions and in compliance with the company's safety rules / procedures and with regulations and codes of practice
  • Support the company’s efforts to reduce accidents / incidents by reporting unsafe actions or conditions and participating in Safety Walks, Safety Audits and 5S events etc. as required
  • Representative in QHSE steering meeting 
  • Reporting monthly in CR 360 
  • Plan and follow up own and subordinate involvement and interaction at Site
  • Ensure that HIAB's Code of Conduct is introduced and implemented in own organization
  • Ensure that all activities comply with the Integrated Management System (IMS), the local QEHS System and QEHS rules and requirements
  • Support Service Coordinator/Planner in their tasks when needed
  • Contacts/Working with: Customers, dealers and other third parties, Service, Technical, Sales and Marketing teams
     

Main tasks and responsibilities: Site manager

 

  • Ensure a safe work environment with clear rules and responsibilities
  • Point of contact and local responsibility for access and alarm system both intrusions and fire
  • To be overall responsible for the HIAB site, facility and yard
  • Follow up contractual obligations regarding cost, variations and progress at site
  • Identify and report areas of improvement and cost saving
  • Handle waste
  • HIAB's contact with security and fire company.
     

 

What we are looking for

 

Education:

  • Тechnical Qualification

 

Working experience:

  • Significant experience in a commercial role from within a related industry.
  • Experience and knowledge of engineering production and or bodybuilder operations is also desirable 
     

 

Competence and skills:

  • Proven ability to manage a busy workshop environment
  • Ability to demonstrate cost control and P&L management
  • Excellent customer facing skills
  • Proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships
  • Strong business mind-set with financial skills
  • Good technical skills
  • Ability to work in an international business environment in a matrix organisation
  • Results and achievement driven and eager to create long term relationships
  • High integrity and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to see the “big picture” when solving day to day issues
  • Fluency in English and Norwegian
  • Driving licence
