R&D Engineer

Hiab’s Demountables and Defence Control System team is looking for a Research & Development Engineer working with control systems of demountable products. You will have an important role in designing and developing the electrical and hydraulic solutions of demountable products taking advantage of our stakeholders, both internal and external.

This position will be based in Raisio, Finland.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Design and development activities of control systems in cooperation with other specialists.

• Creating and implementing new controls solutions based on customer needs

• Following design processes including requirement gathering, modelling of the controls, development of test cases, implementation of controls and writing the documentation.

• Cooperate with universities, suppliers and other partners and support different stakeholders in control systems related issues.

What you’ll need to succeed

● A university degree (Master’s or Bachelor’s level) from a relevant technical field, like electrics, hydraulics, electronics or automation engineering

● Fluency in English and Finnish

● Experience of 2D/3D CAD tools

● Good technical knowledge in the areas of electronics, control systems and hydraulics, and excellence in one of them is a great benefit

● Experience from programming tools (C, C++, Codesys, C#, .net) is seen as benefit

● Experience from modelling and simulation (Matlab, Simulink, Simspace) is seen as benefit
