Product Development Technician

Your mission

Hiab is looking for a Product Development Technician to provide best in class technical services to the product development activities to meet our sustainability targets.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the research and development area by creating new products and tests to validate the product, components, equipment, systems and processes;

• Conduct routine research or test analysis, experimental and investigative work in accordance with an established research/test plan;

• Record research/test results and prepare simple technical/research reports including conclusions and recommendations;

• Develop projects, technical drawings through the use of design software used globally within the organization;

• Coordinate specific projects, arising from internal or external demands, and related to the company's strategic planning guidelines;

• Keep the sector updated according to the requested engineering changes, as well as internal standards;

• Carry out technical visits to potential suppliers, technically assisting the purchasing sector;

• Participate in fairs and events in which the company is engaged;

• Develop strategies that result in improved product performance and quality

• Develop research/testing skills and knowledge of the organization's products and services, working closely with a more experienced professional or as a junior member of a team.

What we are looking for

• Solid knowledge and skills in this area, can solve problems and apply different concepts.

• University (Bachelor's degree) in Mechanical Engineering or Production engineering (minimum 4th semester)

• Sufficient technical understanding of product & application

• Cross functional collaboration skills

• Advanced English

• Previous experience in on road load handling systems (or similar heavy equipments)
