Senior Operations Manager

Purpose of the position
The Senior Operations Manager will develop and continuously improve the safety, delivery capability, quality and productivity of the Operations. This includes ensuring that the operation has the correct level of competence, motivation and efficiency in order to be competitive and meet profitability, quality and growth objectives.

Main tasks and responsibilities
Safety
- Promoting the importance of Environmental, Health and Safety culture, with the responsibility of securing own and co-workers’ safety and health at all times in line with the Company’s Health and Safety statement, policy and Risk Assessments.
Quality
- Responsibility and ownership of PSC product quality processes and drawing specifications in line with customer expectations;
- Embrace a zero defects and right first time culture within an overall total cost of quality framework.
Delivery
- Develop long and short-term capacity plans in order to meet customer demand;
- Secure resources and competencies to manage the strategy and day-to-day operations;
- Ownership of the SMR/ S&OP process to balance Supply to Demand;

Inventory
- Ensure the delivery of a material replenishment strategy in line with the PSC inventory policy.
Productivity
- Determine and implement annual plans and budget in order to achieve overall strategic objectives;
- Develop and monitor performance goals (KPI’s) in order to achieve overall financial targets and initiate corrective and preventive actions when necessary;
- Create and embrace a true culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement;
- Develop and deliver a sustainable operations roadmap so as to embrace Industry 4.0 and digitization for the PSC;
- Develop and monitor performance goals (KPI’s) in order to achieve overall financial targets and initiate corrective and preventive actions when necessary;
- Implement World-class principles in order to secure the most cost efficient production in the business;
- Direct, support and coach your teams in order to secure continuous improvement of the right competencies, efficient working methods and stimulating working environment.
People

- Make sure to develop the organization structure;

What you’ll need to succeed
Education:
- Third level degree and/or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering or business discipline.
Experience:
- At least 7-10 years of relevant Technical Industry experience (i.e. truck, construction machines, agriculture or automotive) in production and supply chain management.
- At least 5-7 years within a modern factory management role, with 3 to 5 years of which should be at Senior Management level, within a multinational, global company.
- In depth knowledge of the principles of Lean Manufacturing and how it supports the overall business strategy.
Languages:
- Fluent English is necessary
