Global Installation Operational Excellence Manager

Are you a strategic leader with a passion for driving operational excellence on a global scale? We’re looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Global Installation Operational Excellence Manager to lead and optimize our equipment installation operations from planning through to handover. In this high-impact role, you will guide cross-functional teams across a global matrix organization, shaping and implementing best practices that enhance efficiency, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

This position will be based in Ellesmere, UK / Meppel, Netherlands. 

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Establish strong safety culture and leads towards 0 LTI
• Work closely with the installation managers, service managers and workshop managers to define improvement plans and objectives in line with the service operations strategy roadmap.
• Contribute to business operations strategy development by employing Six Sigma and LEAN methodology across all phases 
• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure seamless coordination throughout the installation value stream
• Manage the installation budget effectively, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost control
• Competent use of statistics related to business improvement metrics and operational performance
• Develop and implement standardized planning & installation processes across all markets to improve efficiency and quality.
• Monitor and analyze KPIs to reduce bottlenecks using Lean, Six Sigma methodologies.
• Define and implement best-in-class global installation methodologies to improve productivity.
• Develop and lead training programs to instill a culture of operational excellence among regional teams.
• Drive global capacity planning through innovative tools and automation across all locations.
• Liaise with suppliers and partners to explore and implement capabilities worldwide.
• Define and implement global key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor installation performance across all regions.

What you’ll need to succeed

● Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business Management, or a related field. Equivalent through a combination of education and work experience.
● 7+ years in a leadership role within relevant industry environment
● 5+ years of experience supporting process methods and managing complex projects and operations
● Green or Black Belt  required
● Experience with Lean Manufacturing including leading Kaizen events
● Project management skills
● A strong interest in developing existing and new processes, tools and ways of working to increase efficiency and productivity
● Ability to work in a matrix environment
● Experience in SAP PP module
● Ability to travel mostly in Europe and US +50 days
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively deal with internal customers
