Junior Specialist, Accounts Receivable

Purpose of the position

As a Junior Specialist, Accounts Receivable at Hiab, you’ll play a key role in maintaining healthy cash flow by ensuring accurate and timely processing of incoming payments. From posting cash receipts and resolving mismatches to supporting the Credit & Collections team, your work will help keep our financial systems in balance and our customer relationships strong.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with accounting systems, collaborate across teams, and support month-end closing and reporting activities. Main tasks and responsibilities

• Process and post cash receipts; apply all payments to the accounts receivable subledger; make necessary adjustments in the accounting system.
• Manage and resolve remittance mismatch or cash application issues.
• Investigate + correct unallocated/unapplied AR payments; support to Credit and Collections team.
• Researches unapplied payments;
• Perform timely and accurate application of daily receipts;
• Process payment return items and insufficient funds;
• AR Subledgers closing performed in a timely manner as per HIAB OTC and RTR agreed policy.
• Daily ServiceNow ticket support.
• Support the Supervisor/TL in the communication / escalation process to ensure alignment of interested parties.

What you’ll need to succeed

Education

• Minimum Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics

Experience (or within the last year of the 

• 0-1 years of experience in an international environment in the finance field

• SAP experience is a plus

• Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Charts), Powerpoint and process mapping tools
