The Director, Indirect Sourcing & Procurement is responsible for building and leading a global indirect sourcing community across Hiab’s divisions, sites and business areas. The role drives category strategies, supplier management and sourcing governance to ensure measurable value creation and visible impact on the division’s Profit & Loss (P&L). This position combines strategic sourcing leadership with operational process ownership, ensuring alignment between sourcing strategies and the end-to-end Source-to-Pay (S2P) and Source-to-Receipt (STR) processes.
The role acts as Hiab’s representative within the Indirect Sourcing Management Team and collaborates closely with sourcing teams, operations, finance, and business services to drive cost optimisation, supplier performance and sustainable operational improvements.
The role can be based in Poland or Bulgaria.
Key responsibilities
Strategic Indirect Sourcing Leadership
- Develop and execute Hiab’s global indirect sourcing strategy and roadmap. Define category strategies, supplier prioritisation models and consolidation plans to optimise total cost of ownership. Lead cost-reduction initiatives and secure measurable benefits impacting divisional P&L. Identify synergy opportunities, spend consolidation and operational efficiencies across sites and business areas. Build strategic supplier partnerships that strengthen competitiveness and innovation.
Procurement Operations & Process Ownership
- Oversee delivery and continuous improvement of Source-to-Receipt services in cooperation with shared services. Drive end-to-end Source-to-Pay improvements with sourcing, finance and operational stakeholders. Define and maintain procurement standards, business rules, controls and documentation. Ensure global harmonisation and standardisation of procurement processes through continuous improvement, automation and digital tools.
Spend Management & Performance Control
- Establish global procurement KPIs and analytics to monitor spend, savings and supplier performance. Strengthen spend analysis and reporting to identify savings potential and compliance gaps. Implement robust governance for procurement spend with Finance Controlling. Track operational metrics, service levels and overall procurement performance across the organisation.
Supplier Risk, Compliance & Governance
- Develop supplier risk management programmes with Operations and Supply Chain. Ensure compliance with procurement policies, legal requirements and ethical sourcing standards. Oversee supplier performance and continuous improvement programmes to support efficiency and working capital optimisation. Monitor and manage procurement-related risks and compliance actions.
Leadership & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Build and lead a global indirect sourcing community across locations and business areas. Lead and mentor procurement teams and category managers, promoting collaboration and continuous improvement. Act as the senior escalation point for procurement and process-related issues. Partner with business leaders, sourcing, operations, finance and shared services to align procurement strategy with business priorities.
