Operational Buyer

Your mission

Your primary goal is to ensure the seamless availability of materials for our internal production processes. You will act as the vital link between our suppliers and our production floor, balancing inventory optimization with the demands of a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and dispatch purchase orders based on production requirements and monitor delivery timelines to ensure full compliance.
• Maintain and develop daily professional relationships with material suppliers; conduct regular supplier evaluations based on established KPIs.
• Work closely with Production Planning and supporting departments to minimize the impact of any potential delivery delays.
• Maintain and update logistics parameters in the ERP system (LT, MOQ, Order Increment, etc.), manage price lists, and resolve price variances (PPV).
• Monitor and optimize warehouse stock levels and prepare periodic reports on inventory value. 
• Manage technical changes (ECN, ECR, PLC, NPD) from the supplier side and generate orders for prototypes and QAP samples.
• Actively participate in building and improving purchasing processes at HIAB Poland and escalate supplier issues to Global Category Management when necessary.
• Train new team members on organizational requirements, quality systems, and ERP software.

What we are looking for

• Relevant experience in a similar operational procurement or supply chain role.
• University degree (preferably in Logistics, Management, Supply Chain, or Economics).
• Proficiency in MRP systems and practical knowledge of MS Office and Google Workspace.
• Communicative level of English (written and spoken) for daily operational cooperation.
• Strong analytical skills and excellent work organization.
• High level of independence in decision-making and problem-solving.
• A collaborative mindset with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
