Safety Manager

The Safety Manager will own the global processes, support and guide the line organization and local safety Managers to ensure a safe working environment for all employees in Hiab.

We are open to reviewing applications for all three of our Finnish locations: Tampere, Helsinki, and Raisio, as well as Stargard, Poland.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Implement and promote Hiab level safety initiatives on a global level
• Carry out Audits to ensure the Locations compliance in safety (online)
• Carry out Organization Safety Awareness assessments and identify the improvement needs
• Analyze incident reports, conduct investigations, and produce recommendations for improvements
• Coordinate the Safety reporting process
• Coordinate the safety hazard identification and mitigation work (risk assessment work)
• Follow regulatory changes, industry trends and create actions to make sure Locations are aware and understand the actions needed to be in regulatory compliance
• Create global safety reports for line organization use
• Act as Safety Management tool owner and provide support on Global / Divisional level
• Promote a culture of safety throughout the organization
• Create global training materials/training programs
• Participate In Hiab Global Safety steering work.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field or otherwise proven credentials and Certification in safety management, if locally available
• Several years of work experience in the field of safety, preferably in global function
• In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and safety standards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective training and collaboration
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Able to communicate written and verbal in English, as well as the local language
• Requires occasional business travel
