Material Planner

Hiab Cranes is looking for a Material Planner to ensure the appropriate supply of Cost - efficient and high quality materials required to maintain steady production and product delivery.

The position will be based in Zaragoza, Spain.

Key responsibilities

● Release of purchase orders for direct material (those used in Production)
● Monitoring of orders to ensure that there is no lack of supply on the Production lines
● Provide technical and daily activities and understand the demand to develop material management activities, such as logistics or warehousing
● Negotiation and monitoring with suppliers, mostly international, to adjust their production capacity to ours

What we are looking for

● University degree or equivalent, with relevant engineering and/or industrial experience
● At least 2 years relevant work experience in logistics / sourcing roles in an international and multi-site company
● Experience in working with large suppliers with global multi-site footprint and managing supplier relations and negotiations
● Experience in using ERP systems
● Experience in complex steel assemblies / hydraulic systems / electrical & electronics preferred
● Communication skills
● Fluency in English - both written and spoken
● Excellent knowledge in sourcing methods; supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, analytical skills and legal/contractual knowledge
● Continuous improvement mindset with a business-driven and fact based approach towards suppliers with a focus on building long-term relationships.
● Desirable: Business Intelligence skills (Power BI, SQL, Google Apps)
