Your mission
Your mission will be to lead the deployment of the Model of Excellence (MoE) across North America, South America, and Canada, partnering closely with site directors to support the delivery of business objectives. You will provide technical expertise, coaching, and guidance to Six Sigma Black Belts, Continuous Improvement Managers, and other key stakeholders, while leading high-impact cross-functional improvement initiatives. You will drive measurable improvements in productivity, efficiency, site KPIs, and Core Value Drivers, delivering sustainable operational and financial benefits.
Key responsibilities
- Responsible for the Hiab Academy roll out across the US region, helping to direct and build the training material, methods of working and certification across the global organisation
- Actively manage the site’s MoE deployment and improvement priorities in alignment with MoE standards, in collaboration with the site leadership
- Lead the MoE calibration assessments across all cells / areas of the sites, promoting consistency and knowledge sharing
- Collaborate with site leadership, influencing and helping them develop their site MoE strategies aligned to group
- Lead the site strategies to develop a kaizen funnel, with a method of financial capture, timing plan and resource allocation
- Kaizen Facilitation, Training & Train the Trainer, Stabilizing Processes, Project Management, Special Projects, Special Coaching.
- Ensure alignment with MoE maturity and calibration criteria, and facilitate deployment activities to achieve Bronze, Silver, and Gold Certification, ensuring deployment plans remain on track.·
- Continuously demonstrates process expertise by using Hiab learning strategies, methodologies and resources
- Carry out MoE audits and train the leadership team on each site to understand the philosophy and own it moving forward
- Apply MoE learning resources and standards supported by the Business Excellence Group to implement methods, deliver training, and leverage best practices.
- Provide coaching to guide teams through their maturity progression.
- Escalate significant deployment gaps or issues where necessary.
- Facilitate MoE-related communication and change management activities, enabling site leadership to embed and sustain the MoE culture while recognizing and celebrating successes.
- Serve as a role model for MoE behaviours.
- Capture and document lessons learned, both successes and challenges, benchmark data, and share opportunities with the Director of Business Excellence.
- Manage the site Kaizen funnel, allocating resources and tracking benefits
- Oversee the site Six Sigma belt program, coaching supporting and allocation all site resources to of projects
What we are looking for
- Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Lean Expert, or equivalent
- Degree-qualified in Engineering or Business, or demonstrable experience in change management and continuous improvement.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience leading Lean/Continuous Improvement activities and deploying Lean transformations.
- Proven expertise in Lean deployment tools and methodologies such as Value Stream Mapping, Daily Management, Kaizen Systems, 5S, Lean Leadership, and Standard Work.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent training and facilitation skills & passion for Continuous Improvement.
- Proven people management skills with the ability to inspire and lead cross-functional teams and adapt communication to varied audiences.
- Advanced problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills with a proven track record of executing against Operational related performance metrics (safety, delivery, quality, cost, people development, and culture).
- Excellent influencing, coaching, and communication abilities across all organizational
levels. - Skills in conflict resolution, presenting, and critical thinking.
- Hands-on, structured, and logical working style.
- Strong customer focus with the ability to challenge constructively, drive results, and deliver value.
- Proficiency in English with a secondary language a benefit
